Marking 100 years: The ANMF celebrates

09 October 2024

This year, we proudly celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF), which has grown to become Australia’s largest trade union in 2024, representing 326,000 members. Our future is strong, and our future is bright.

For a century, the ANMF has championed the rights and welfare of nurses, midwives, and the communities they serve. From securing fair wages and better working conditions to advocating for safer healthcare practices and elevating patient care standards, the ANMF has been a force for positive change.

Visit our 100-year Anniversary page to meet some of our inspiring members, explore our incredible achievements, and share your stories and messages of support about how the union has made a difference in your life.
